GROUP LEADER I – BREVARD AFTER SCHOOL: EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRED: • Must be eighteen years of age at time of employment. • Experience working with children. PREFERRED/DESIRED: • High School diploma or equivalent preferred. CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES: REQUIRED: • Department of Children and Families Standards for Quality Afterschool Programs (SQAP-8 hours online as Inservice) or equivalent DCF-AMAP Course Achieving and Maintaining Quality Afterschool Programs-12 hours or complete within 90 days of appointment. • American Red Cross or American Heart Association First Aid/CPR/AED certification or obtain certification within 90 days of appointment. • BAS Academy: Level I (24 hours online) for the School Age Certification obtain training by starting within 90 days of appointment with completion within one year of appointment. • Valid State Driver’s License. GROUP LEADER II – BREVARD AFTER SCHOOL: EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRED: • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Two (2) years’ experience working with children.
