CatholicCare Tasmania is seeking an experienced and values-driven leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Manager Housing & Homelessness.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a portfolio of programs that support individuals, families and communities experiencing, or at risk of, housing instability and homelessness. Working collaboratively across government, housing providers and the community sector, you will play a critical role in strengthening service responses, improving outcomes and influencing system-wide change.

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Manager Family and Community Services, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across our Housing and Homelessness programs, ensuring services are person-centred, evidence-informed, financially sustainable and aligned with CatholicCare Tasmania's mission and strategic priorities. You will also contribute to organisation strategy as a member of CatholicCare Tasmania’s Senior Leadership Team within the Family and Community Services Stream.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading high-performing teams and building workforce capability.
• Driving service excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Ensuring strong governance, quality, safeguarding and risk management.
• Managing program performance, contracts and budgets.
• Developing strategic partnerships across government, housing and community sectors.
• Using data, evidence and outcomes to inform decision-making and demonstrate impact.
• Contributing to organisational strategy and sector leadership.

About You

You are a confident and authentic leader with significant experience managing complex community service programs and multidisciplinary teams. You bring a strong understanding of contemporary housing and homelessness service systems and a passion for achieving better outcomes for people experiencing disadvantage.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

• Specialist knowledge of the housing and homelessness service system, including policy, funding environments, service integration and housing pathways.
• Experience working with individuals, families and communities experiencing complex and intersecting needs, including homelessness, mental health challenges, family violence, alcohol and other drug issues, trauma and social exclusion.
• Proven success leading service delivery, quality improvement and organisational change.
• Strong financial, contract and performance management capability.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and experience working collaboratively across sectors.
• A commitment to culturally safe, trauma-informed and person-centred practice.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, community services, allied health, public policy or a related discipline.
