 About the Role

You will be responsible to assist with day-to-day operations of the paint department while ensuring all work is completed to Simtech’s high quality standards, within deadlines, and in a safe and efficient manner.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience within the Automotive, Boating or Manufacturing spray painting industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and spray paint components to a premium quality finish

• Coordinate workflow to ensure production deadlines are achieved

• Maintain consistent quality control standards across all painted products

• Maximise productivity and monitor own performance

• Ensure spray booths, equipment, and workspaces are maintained to a high standard

• Contribute to a positive team environment focused on safety, quality, and efficiency

• Follow and support workplace health and safety practices in accordance with company policies

Skills & Experience

• Trade qualification in Automotive Spray Painting or relevant industry experience

• Strong knowledge of Automotive, Boating, Cabinetry, or Manufacturing paint systems

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Ability to work to deadlines, multitask, and prioritise workloads

• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team

• Effective problem solving skills and proactive attitude

• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy

• Strong work ethic with a hands-on approach

• Experience with Axalta Hi Tec waterborne paint systems is advantageous but not essential

• Willingness to meet deadlines and work overtime if required.

 Hours:

• Mon-Thurs: 6am-2:30pm

• Fri 6am – 12pm

• Overtime available as required.
