Salary Band: $92,286 - $110,350 + Super
Hours: Part-time (0.6 FTE)
Contract: Fixed term until October 2027, with the potential to extend

About the Role:
As the Mental Health Clinician, you will work within a multidisciplinary team in the Short-Term Care stream to provide timely triage, intake, assessment and psychological interventions for people experiencing mental health distress or suicidal crisis. You will provide a safe, welcoming and accessible entry point to support, offering on-the-spot care and advice without the need for referral or prior appointment, with every interaction focused on therapeutic benefit.
You will provide structured psychological therapy within a six-session model, assess individual needs and facilitate warm referrals to appropriate services. You will also contribute to treatment planning, group program development, clinical consultation and liaison, and participate in supervision, clinical reviews, team meetings and relevant external meetings.

Experience Requirements:
Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment.
A minimum 3 years experience working in the area of mental health.
A minimum 2 years relevant professional development and or supervision.
Experience in delivery of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and other evidence based interventions.
Experience in assessing and treating clients with a range of mental health and/or alcohol and other drug problems
Experience in shift coordination would be desirable
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold qualifications in one of the following disciplines:
Psychology
Social Work – with Mental Health Accreditation through the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
Occupational Therapy – with Mental Health Endorsement recognised by Occupational Therapy Australia
Nursing – must be a Registered Nurse with Credentialed Mental Health Nurse status through the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses
Other Requirements:
Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
Current or willing to obtain a National Police Check (NPC)
Current Child Safe Environments (Through Their Eyes) Training (or willing to obtain)
