Role Description The FileMaker Developer will design, develop, and maintain FileMaker-based applications that meet client requirements and industry best practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering and analyzing business needs, creating databases, layouts, scripts, and integrations, and optimizing existing solutions for performance and usability. The role involves collaborating with project managers and stakeholders, testing and troubleshooting issues, and documenting systems and processes for ongoing support. This is a full-time remote role based in Australia, requiring regular communication with clients and team members via online tools and meetings. The developer will also contribute to improving development standards and offering technical guidance to non-technical users.
Qualifications Strong experience with FileMaker development, including database design, scripting, layouts, and solution optimization.Skills in integrating FileMaker with other systems or APIs, and understanding of relational database concepts.Ability to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and document workflows and applications clearly.Proficiency in testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure stable, secure, and high-performing applications.Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders and collaborate in a remote team environment.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines independently.Experience working with Australian businesses or familiarity with local business processes and regulations is beneficial.Relevant technical certifications or a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is advantageous, though equivalent experience is also valued.
