Alex Bank | Broker Channel | Consumer Asset Finance & Personal Lending

Alex Bank is looking for an experienced, highly connected and results-driven Business Development Manager – NSW/ACT to help accelerate the growth of our broker channel.

Based in Sydney, this is a senior business development role for a proven performer with strong existing relationships across the finance broker and aggregator market, together with relevant experience in Consumer Asset Finance and Personal Lending.

We are looking for someone who knows the broker channel, understands what drives broker engagement and has a demonstrated ability to turn strong industry relationships into sustainable lending growth.

The Opportunity

NSW/ACT represents a significant growth opportunity for Alex Bank, and we are looking for an experienced BDM to take ownership of developing the market.

Your primary objective will be simple: grow Alex Bank’s broker relationships, engagement and lending volumes across NSW and the ACT.

You will work closely with brokers, aggregator partners and our broader Broker Distribution team to strengthen Alex Bank’s presence and position within the market.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Driving growth in applications and settlements across the NSW/ACT broker channel
• Developing and strengthening relationships with key finance brokers and broker businesses
• Building highly effective relationships with our aggregator partners and their distribution teams
• Increasing engagement and lending volumes from existing accredited brokers
• Identifying, recruiting and activating high-potential new broker relationships
• Developing strategic relationships with high-volume and high-performing broker groups
• Promoting Alex Bank’s Consumer Asset Finance and Personal Lending proposition across the broker market
• Identifying opportunities to increase broker penetration, product utilisation and share of wallet
• Providing market intelligence and broker feedback to help shape our distribution, product and pricing strategies
• Representing Alex Bank at broker meetings, aggregator events, conferences and industry functions
• Taking genuine ownership of the growth and performance of the NSW/ACT territory

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for a senior, established broker-channel BDM who is already well connected within the NSW market.

The successful candidate will ideally bring:

• A strong track record in broker-channel business development within consumer finance
• Relevant experience across Consumer Asset Finance and Personal Lending
• Established relationships with finance brokers, broker groups and aggregators across NSW
• A demonstrated ability to leverage broker and aggregator relationships to generate sustainable lending growth
• A history of consistently achieving or exceeding sales and settlement targets
• Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of what drives broker behaviour and lender selection
• The credibility to engage with leading brokers, aggregator executives and other senior industry stakeholders
• A proactive, highly accountable and performance-driven approach
