About the Community Safety and Compliance department
Bringing together four specialised teams, the department works across the municipality to ensure Glen Eira remains a safe, accessible and welcoming place to live, work and visit:
About the role
We are seeking a proactive professional to support the department in improving business processes, strengthening governance, and ensuring compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
Reporting to the Manager and working closely with the leadership team, you will develop and maintain policies, procedures and compliance frameworks, provide advice on policy and process matters, and contribute to projects that enhance service delivery and organisational effectiveness.

About you
You are an experienced governance, policy or compliance professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You have the ability to interpret legislation, develop practical policies and procedures, and provide clear, confident advice to a range of stakeholders.
