JCR GROUP AUS PTY LTD The Sheetmetal Worker will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing and repairing sheetmetal components and structures in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements. The successful candidate will work with a range of sheetmetal materials and equipment and will be required to maintain high standards of accuracy, quality and safety.

Long-term employment opportunities for the right candidate. Task & responsibilities Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications. Measure, mark and cut sheetmetal materials accurately.

Fabricate and assemble sheetmetal components and structures. Operate sheetmetal machinery, cutting equipment and hand tools. Bend, fold, shape and form sheetmetal using appropriate equipment.

Weld, join, rivet and otherwise assemble sheetmetal components. Inspect completed work to ensure dimensions, quality and finish meet specifications. Install fabricated sheetmetal components at project sites where required.

Repair, modify and maintain existing sheetmetal components. Select appropriate materials, tools and equipment for each job. Maintain tools, machinery and equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.

Follow workplace health and safety procedures and company policies. Maintain a clean and organised work area. Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, supervisors and project personnel.

Identify and report any defects, safety issues or problems with materials or equipment. Complete work within required timeframes while maintaining quality standards. Qualification & experience Relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience in sheetmetal fabrication.

Previous experience working as a Sheetmetal Worker or in a similar role minimum 1-2 years. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Good understanding of sheetmetal fabrication techniques.

Experience using fabrication machinery, hand tools and power tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
