What you will be doing in this role
We are seeking a friendly, organised and proactive Ward Clerk to join our Coronary Care Unit (CCU). This rewarding part-time opportunity plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the unit and ensuring patients, families and clinical staff receive outstanding administrative support.
The Coronary Care Unit is a 25-bed unit within Sydney Adventist Hospital, a leading provider of comprehensive private cardiac care covering a broad range of medical and surgical cardiac conditions.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be the welcoming face of the unit, providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, visitors and medical practitioners. You will contribute to the smooth flow of patients through the unit by working closely with the multidisciplinary team and assisting with the efficient coordination of ward activities.
Your responsibilities will include coordinating a range of administrative functions such as managing enquiries and phone calls, maintaining patient records and medical documentation, ordering stock and supplies, processing invoices, liaising with doctors' practices and supporting patient discharges.
This is a part-time position working 18 hours per week, Tuesday to Thursday, 6 hours per day.
