MSJ Alliance is a growing cabinetry business delivering large-scale residential projects across South East Queensland. We are looking for an experienced Cabinetry Estimator to join our team and take ownership of estimating for our local projects.

We are looking for someone who knows cabinetry estimating, is driven and can work independently. This is not a junior estimating position. You will need to be confident reviewing detailed cabinetry drawings, completing accurate take-offs and preparing complete project estimates with minimal supervision.

You will be responsible for estimating cabinetry packages across a range of residential and multi-residential projects.

This is a hands-on estimating role with a strong focus on accuracy, commercial awareness and getting tenders completed on time. You will work closely with management, drafting, suppliers and our project team, while being trusted to manage your own workload and take ownership of each estimate from start to finish.

• Review architectural, construction and cabinetry drawings, specifications and tender documentation.

• Complete detailed cabinetry take-offs.

• Prepare accurate material, hardware, labour and installation estimates.

• Obtain and review supplier and subcontractor pricing.

• Prepare complete project estimates and tender submissions.

• Identify exclusions, discrepancies, missing information and potential project risks.

• Review drawings to ensure the full scope of works has been captured.

• Prepare pricing for variations and additional works when required.

• Maintain accurate estimating records and pricing information.

• Work closely with management to review project pricing and tender strategy.

• Manage multiple tenders and deadlines at the same time.

• Take ownership of estimates and follow them through from initial documentation to final submission.

• Strong previous experience estimating cabinetry is essential. High end and multi-residential experience preferred.

• Excellent understanding of cabinetry construction, materials, hardware and manufacturing.

• Ability to read and interpret detailed architectural and cabinetry drawings.

• Strong take-off and costing ability.

• Commercial understanding of labour, materials and installation costs.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Organised and capable of managing multiple tenders and deadlines.

• Comfortable working independently without needing constant direction.

• Proactive and driven — someone who takes responsibility for getting the job done.

• Strong computer skills and confidence working with estimating and construction software.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work with suppliers, project staff and management.

• Take ownership of estimating within a growing cabinetry business.
