Dealership Cleaner & Groundsperson

About the role

Capricorn Motors pty ltd is seeking a dedicated and reliable Dealership Cleaner & Groundsperson to join our team in Rockhampton, QLD 4700. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining the professional appearance and cleanliness of our dealership premises. You will be responsible for ensuring our facility, vehicles, and grounds are presented to the highest standards, creating a welcoming environment for our customers and staff. This role is essential to our operations, as the condition of our premises directly reflects our commitment to excellence and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintaining the cleanliness of all indoor dealership areas, including showrooms, offices, customer waiting areas, and service departments

• Performing groundskeeping duties such as mowing and trimming.

• Managing waste disposal and recycling in compliance with environmental standards

• Maintaining the outdoor grounds, including car park areas, landscaping, and general tidiness of the premises

• Restocking cleaning supplies and reporting when supplies require replenishment

• Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment safely and responsibly

• Responding promptly to cleaning requests from management and staff

• Ensuring health and safety standards are met across all cleaning activities

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in cleaning services, dealership maintenance, or groundskeeping roles

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards

• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks throughout an 8-hour day, including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing

• Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic

• Ability to work independently and take initiative when identifying areas requiring attention

• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, floor polishers, and vacuum systems

• Knowledge of appropriate cleaning products and chemicals, with understanding of safe handling practices

• A valid driver's licence would be advantageous

• Excellent communication skills and a professional, courteous manner when interacting with customers and staff
