State Manager Queensland

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to implement the service strategy and drive service growth at the respective unit level. Each day, you will lead the Service organization and be responsible for the P&L to achieve performance targets and to optimize the utilization of Service resources. You will also showcase your expertise by running the day-to-day service business to ensure profitable growth and improvement of service productivity.

The work model for the role is: onsite at Eagle Farm, Queensland Traction Workshop.

This role is contributing to the Motion Services Division within the Motion Business Area in Queensland, Australia. Main stakeholders are workshop teams (technical engineers and administrative staff), regional sales teams, key mining, rail/ and industrial customers, and the Australia Motion Services leadership team.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Creating and driving implementation of the service strategy as a member of the management team.

• Ensuring that strategic plans are implemented consistently in the service organization through collaboration with other businesses.

• Driving, implementing, reporting, and monitoring of performance targets as part of the respective unit P&L (financial, productivity, investments, customer satisfaction, operational excellence).

• Investing in improving the quality of existing service products and in developing new service products to expand the portfolio in line with global direction.

• Runs the day-to-day service business to ensure profitable growth and improvement of service productivity.

• Implements agreed delivery and performance standards to ensure consistency in quality and customer satisfaction

• Guides, motivates, and develops direct and indirect reports

• Build sustainable customer relationships to ensure growth, satisfaction and retention of customers togehter with sales.

Qualifications for the role

• Extensive experience in quality management systems, operational excellence, workforce transformation, and the electrical motors, drives, and industrial services sector.

• Over 10 years' experience leading service operations, managing both technical and administrative teams within workshop and manufacturing environments.

• Strong commercial acumen with proven expertise in P&L management, operational KPIs, HSE compliance, and modern service delivery platforms.

• A passionate people leader committed to customer excellence, continuous improvement, quality outcomes, and team development.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Business Management, or a related discipline.

• Full Australian working rights.
