About the role
Kilvington Grammar School is an independent ELC–12 co-educational school in Melbourne, renowned for its strong academic program, inclusive culture, and commitment to developing the whole student.
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused Daily Operations Manager to support the efficient day-to-day operation of the School.
This pivotal role is responsible for coordinating daily staff cover, relief staffing, the School calendar, excursions, incursions, major events, room changes and resource bookings. Working collaboratively across the School, the Daily Operations Manager will help ensure operational requirements are effectively coordinated, communication is timely and disruption to teaching and learning is minimised.
This is a full-time, term-time only role requiring flexibility of hours, including early morning, evening and after-hours work. Applications are welcomed from both qualified teachers and experienced non-teaching professionals. Part-time arrangements may be considered for exceptional non-teaching applicants.
The successful candidate will:
Coordinate daily staff cover, relief staffing and supervision arrangements.
Oversee the School calendar, room bookings and operational logistics.
Coordinate major school events, excursions, incursions and examinations.
Communicate effectively with staff and respond proactively to operational challenges.
Drive continuous improvement to operational systems and processes.
Relevant qualifications in Education, Business Administration, Operations Management, Event Management or a related discipline will be viewed favourably. Demonstrated relevant experience may be accepted in place of formal qualifications.
Flexible Appointment Options
Applications are encouraged from both teaching and non-teaching candidates:
Teaching applicants: The role will comprise approximately 0.50 Daily Operations Manager responsibilities and 0.50 teaching. The successful candidate will be remunerated under the applicable teaching agreement and receive a Position of Responsibility allowance.
Non-teaching applicants: The role will be a salaried professional services position, with remuneration commensurate with qualifications and experience. Part-time arrangements may be considered for an exceptional candidate.
Teaching applicants must hold current VIT registration. Non-teaching applicants must hold, or be able to obtain and maintain, an Employee Working with Children Check. Current First Aid qualifications, or a willingness to obtain them, are also required.
