About the role
Ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for residents of our District by providing high-quality, patient-centred occupational therapy services.

Plan, coordinate and implement high levels of clinical expertise and specialised knowledge in order to provide high quality paediatric occupational therapy services. As an Occupational Therapist (level 3), you will also provide senior clinical leadership within the Occupational Therapy Service including supporting the mentoring and development of staff. In this role, you will provide hand therapy services to patients with a variety of diagnoses including a high proportion of acute post trauma cases, as well as elective surgery and conservative management of chronic conditions. Amongst your other duties, you will also work to optimise patientcare delivery and provide general occupational therapy clinical service to acute inpatients.

Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
Wollongong is located an hour’s drive south of Sydney on a narrow coastal strip bordered by the Royal National Park to the north, Lake Illawarra to the south, the Tasman Sea to the east and the Illawarra Escarpment to the west. - Availability to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Current registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board, AHPRA.
- Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
- Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Valid NSW Drivers Licence.
This is a temporary parental leave relief position until 25 October 2027 with the possibility of an extension at same or reduced hours.
