Sick of sitting in the same machine every day?

We’re looking for a switched-on Machinery Operator who wants more than just a seat and a set of controls.

At Taylors Treelopping, no two weeks are the same.

One day you might be hydro excavating around underground services, the next you’re on a 5T excavator or Posi Track removing trees, loading gear, preparing equipment for a remote job or helping get the yard ready for the next crew.

We want someone who sees what needs doing — and gets it done.

🛠️ WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Your main role will be operating our Vac Truck, including:

• Hydro excavation & non-destructive digging

• Exposing underground services

• Excavation around trees, infrastructure & sensitive areas

• Local and remote projects

• Daily machine inspections & basic maintenance

You’ll also get your hands on:

Our work stretches from Townsville to Cape York, the Torres Strait and across regional Queensland.

That means variety, remote work, changing environments and plenty of opportunity to learn.

Rainforest, red dirt, tropical beaches, remote jobs and everything in between.

If you enjoy getting out of the yard and actually doing things, you’ll fit in here.

🔧 WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You’ll be someone who:

• Has Vac Truck / Hydro Excavation experience

• Holds a current HR licence

• Has a White/Blue Card (General Safety Induction Card) 

• Can operate machinery confidently

• Has good mechanical awareness

• Looks after equipment like it’s their own

• Can work without someone standing over them

• Notices problems and speaks up

• Takes pride in a clean, organised yard and worksite

• Wants responsibility rather than avoiding it

We set clear expectations, give you the tools to do the job and expect you to take ownership.
