Mechanical Maintainer - Fitter

An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. In this role, you will report to the Mechanical Supervisor and work on a 2:2 roster (day and night shift).

Your focus will be on maintaining both surface and underground equipment, as well as identifying opportunities to improve safety and equipment performance.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the installation, commissioning, and modification of mechanical systems.
• Maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment, including conveyors, crushers, pumps, valves, and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshooting issues to minimise downtime and improve reliability.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations, while supporting safety initiatives.
• Working closely with trades, engineers, and supervisors to support smooth operations.
• Keeping accurate records, including inspection reports, work orders, and inventory.

  

Our ideal candidate will have a mechanical maintenance background, including experience with fixed plant processing equipment in the mining industry.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

• Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting).
• C Class Driver’s Licence (manual).
• Well-versed in using maintenance management systems.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
