Assistant Venue Manager

A senior, hands-on management role for an experienced hospitality supervisor ready to step into venue management, with a clear succession pathway.

Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadron (BMYS) is seeking an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to join our management team full-time.

Working closely with the Venue Manager , you will be actively involved in food and beverage service, functions and events, staff supervision, rostering, stock control, reporting, and compliance. You will be a visible leader during service, supporting the team, maintaining standards, and responding calmly to operational issues as they arise.

RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification is required for this position.

The role includes regular evening and weekend work, as expected in a hospitality environment. Roster flexibility is available and will be managed collaboratively, but applicants must have the capacity and willingness to work nights and weekends on an ongoing basis.

You are currently working as a hospitality supervisor, duty manager, or similar senior operational role and are ready to move into venue management. You are organised, reliable, and confident leading teams in live service environments. You understand accountability, take pride in running a tight operation, and are looking for a stable, long-term role with growth, rather than a short-term or casual position.

A minimum of 3-5 years of hospitality supervisory or management experience is required.

Valid Australian work authorisation is required for this position.
