Personal Care Assistant (PCA) / Personal Care Worker (PCW)

Superior Home Health Services are seeking qualified, reliable and passionate Home and Community Personal Care Workers to join our team in the Gympie, Noosa and Hinterland areas. We are offering casual roles with a view to permanent part-time for suitable candidates.

Responsibilities will include:

• Working within a person-centered, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client.
• Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and domestic duties.
• Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship, and support.
• Providing support with social and recreational activities.
• Preparing food, feeding clients, and assisting clients with medications.
• Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client.
• Responding to emergency situations; and
• Working weekend and overnight shifts as rostered

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum Certificate III in Individual Care/Aged Care or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
• Current National Police Check
• Current First Aid & CPR certificates
• Current unrestricted driver’s license
• Medication Assistance (desirable)
• A reliable, well-maintained vehicle
• Comprehensive car insurance
• NDIS Worker Screening including Blue Card (or equivalent)

Preferred Skills

Medication Competency preferred

Experience working with aged clients in a home setting

Experience working with persons living with a disability

Experience working with clients rehabilitating at home after surgery/accident
