The Role

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is eager to learn, flexible with tasks, and ready to support a close-knit team.

Based at Seven Hills, you will be responsible for safely processing, sorting, loading and unloading scrap metal and recycling materials while maintaining a strong focus on housekeeping, customer service and safe work practices.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will be varied and can include:

• Manual processing and sorting of various scrap metals
• Preparing materials for resale
• Maintaining site cleanliness and safety
• Providing friendly and professional customer service
• Operating hand and power tools (e.g. drills, grinders)
• Loading/unloading trucks using forklift or excavator

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be:

• Reliable and punctual
• Physically fit and capable of manual labour
• Presentable, with a professional attitude
• A team player with the ability to also work independently
• Safety-conscious and proactive
• Holding a current forklift licence (required)
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Desirable (but not essential):

• VOC for excavator operation
• Truck licence
• Welding or other trade experience
• Previous experience in a waste or recycling environment
