WET - Forklift Driver

Job Duties/Essential Functions

• Loading and unloading of trailers/trucks
• Unload containers and use a clamp to break down the pallets
• RF Scanning
• Wrapping and unwrapping the pallets
• Operating an electric pallet jack to move pallets of received and sorted merchandise to shipping lanes or to other areas of the depot
• General upkeep of depot and grounds
• Other duties as directed
• Must be able to work on Saturdays
• Must have warehouse experience and be physically fit
• Chiller/Cold storage distribution experience is an advantage. Chiller/Freezer temperature work required (between 5 – 18 degrees)
• Must be versatile and keen to work in both Ambient & Chiller DRY & WET and in different departments as per business needs

Ability to operate vehicles, equipment, or machinery

• Forklift, EPJ, Computer, printer, phone, calculator, handheld two-way radio.

Non-Essential functions

• Assists in other departments where necessary.

Qualifications (Costco-specific or industry-specific skills that candidates should possess):

• Education/Training:          Higher School Certificate preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications:    Must have a Forklift Licence
• Knowledge/Skills:            Basic Computer Skills 

Other specific requirements:

The successful candidate must undergo a criminal record check as the depot is an approved Biosecurity premise

The successful candidate must undergo a drug and alcohol screening
