Dental Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and energetic Dental Assistant to join our professional team.

The role is casual with hours to be negotiated between 8.30 am and 8.30 pm between Mon-Thur. The hours are variable and may require split shifts on the same day. Additional shifts may be available during the Christmas and school holidays.

The candidate should have a Certificate 3 in Dental Assisting or prior experience as a Dental Assistant. On the job training will also be provided. The candidate should also be comfortable with the use of computers and have a drivers licence and car if they don't live nearby.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting dental practitioners during patient consultations, treatments and procedures by passing instruments and materials as required

• Preparing and sterilising dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols

• Providing chairside support and ensuring patient comfort during dental procedures

• Maintaining a clean and organised treatment area, including instrument trays and work surfaces

• Welcoming patients

• Supporting the dental team with administrative tasks and practice operations
