What’s the opportunity?
The People & Culture Manager serves as the primary HR leader and expert for in-country operations. Working closely with the Chief People Officer and partnering with Global Business Partners (GBPs), you will drive local people strategy, oversee full-lifecycle employee relations, manage local compliance, and champion in-country workplace culture. You act as the key bridge between global people programs and local market needs, ensuring a high-performing and globally aligned organisation.
Here’s how you’ll do it:
Employee Relations & Manager Advisory
Serve as the first point of contact and primary advisor for local managers and leaders on all day-to-day employee lifecycle matters.
Provide coaching, mediation, and guidance to managers to handle performance management, conflict resolution, and complex workplace situations.
Serve as the sole point of contact for local employee relations, managing grievances and guiding leaders through complex workplace incidents.
Local Compliance & Employment Governance
Manage end-to-end local HR compliance, staying up-to-date with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Maintain and update regional HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to align with both local labor laws and global standards.
Proactively assess workplace risks and partner with leadership to implement innovative, compliant solutions.
Operational Excellence & Global Integration
Talent & Onboarding Integration: Coordinate with the centralized Global Talent Acquisition team to support local hiring strategies, managing smooth handoffs for in-country onboarding and offboarding experiences.
Total Rewards Alignment: Partner with the Global Total Rewards team to administer local compensation structures, statutory and supplementary employee benefits, and payroll alignment.
People Ops & HRIS: Collaborate with Global People Ops to ensure high data integrity, system management (e.g., HRIS), and localized reporting.
Culture, Engagement & L&D
Champion company values and act as a trusted advocate for our local team.
Drive local engagement, culture, and recognition programs tailored to the market while remaining aligned with overall global strategy.
Partner with global L&D initiatives to roll out training, leadership development, and capability-building programs locally.
Own, drive, or support regional rollout of strategic global people programs.
Global Responsibilities
GBP Alignment: Participate in regular syncs and talent planning sessions with Global Business Partners to translate global business goals into seamless local execution.
Global Support Teams: Work in tandem with centralized functions (TA, Total Rewards, People Ops, Workplace Experience) to deliver a high-quality, frictionless experience across the employee journey.
What skills & experience are required ?
This role requires:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
HR Business Partnering: 4+ years of HRBP or country-facing HR experience, ideally within a global, tech, or SaaS environment.
Employment Governance: Deep technical knowledge of local labor laws, compliance requirements, statutory benefits, and HR best practices within the relevant jurisdiction.
Talent Strategy: Proven ability to partner with hiring managers on talent selection, recruitment best practices, and candidate evaluation.
Matrixed Collaboration: Demonstrated success working across cross-border, centralized teams (Talent Acquisition, People Ops, Total Rewards, and GBPs).
To be successful in this role you must have:
Agility & Resilience: Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments—navigating frequent change, adversity, and competing priorities with composure.
Solution-Focused & Hands-On: A "problem-solver" who balances strategic advisory with hands-on execution.
