Estimator

BMR Piping & Civil is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven Estimator, to join our team.

This is a role suited to someone who understands piping & civil projects, can price work competitively, and enjoys building client relationships and securing future opportunities.

About the Role
This is a hands-on estimating role for someone who knows how to execute estimates, manage tenders and help win work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing tender submissions from initial review through to submission

• Preparing cost estimates and pricing for piping and civil projects

• Coordinating subcontractor and supplier pricing

• Supporting contract negotiations and project handover to operations teams

• Contributing to business growth strategy and market positioning

• Leverage industry relationships to identify opportunities and support business growth.

• Build and maintain strong supplier and subcontractor networks.

• Develop methodologies, qualifications, assumptions and clarification registers.

• Identify commercial risks and opportunities.

• Improve estimating systems, cost libraries and benchmarking.

About You
We are looking for someone who brings:

• Experience estimating or delivering HDPE, Steel & PVC piping, civil mining construction projects

• Strong understanding of tendering processes

• Commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills

• Ability to build and maintain client relationships

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• A proactive, opportunity-driven mindset

• Proven track record of successful tendering and contract negotiation

• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as engineering, construction management, or quantity surveying

• Familiarity with mining construction regulations and compliance requirements
