Diesel Fitter

A1 Access and Rentals is seeking experienced Diesel Fitters for ongoing roles, within our fast growing company.

Perform on-site servicing, preventative maintenance, and repairs to mobile plant, including heavy earth-moving equipment, trucks, generators, small wash plant and light vehicles.

Prepare new machines to site specification requirements.

Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical faults and attend to machine breakdowns on site.

Liaise with the  Workshop Supervisor to diagnose faults and coordinate parts.

Major engine and component rebuilds.

Candidate Skills & Experience:

Relevant Trade Qualification in Diesel Fitting or equivalent

2+ years of fitting experience, preferably on Trucks, however heavy earth-moving equipment will be a bonus

Extensive experience working with Caterpillar and Volvo  equipment, highly regarded

Field service experience

Experience working with hydraulics

Strong focus on safety and quality

Open to working locally and away at different periods of the year 

Causal Position with opportunity to go permanent.
