About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Overhead Crane Operator to join a leading steel manufacturing company.

Day Shift $38.01

Afternoon Shift $43.71

In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating overhead cranes to move steel products and materials throughout the warehouse and production facility while supporting manufacturing and dispatch operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate overhead (bridge/gantry) cranes safely and efficiently.
• Load, unload, and transport steel products, bundles, and materials.
• Assist with production, warehouse, and dispatch activities.
• Conduct pre-start checks and routine equipment inspections.
• Read and interpret production schedules and work orders.
• Ensure accurate handling and storage of steel products.
• Work closely with production and logistics teams to meet daily targets.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
• Follow all WHS policies, procedures, and safe work practices.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience operating overhead cranes in a manufacturing or steel environment.
• Forklift (LF) Licence is advantageous.
• Experience handling long, heavy, or oversized steel products.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and excellent attendance.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
