Freight Mart International are market leaders in International Freight Forwarding, Customs, Transport and Third Party Logistics. 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in an office environment, gain practical industry experience and develop their skills through on-the-job training and mentoring.

The successful applicant will initially provide general office and administrative support, with the opportunity to progressively transition into a Sales & Client Services Support role as your knowledge, confidence and capabilities develop.

The Position:

As an Office Junior, you will be involved in a variety of day-to-day activities across our office and operations, giving you exposure to the different aspects of freight forwarding and logistics.

Your initial responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with customer and shipment documentation

• Answering and directing telephone calls and emails

• Assisting the operations team with day-to-day requirements

• Updating shipment and customer information

• Preparing basic reports and documentation

• Assisting with customer enquiries

• General office organisation and support

As you gain experience and an understanding of the freight forwarding industry, we will provide on-the-job training to develop your skills in areas including:

• Customer service and client communication

• Freight forwarding processes and terminology

• Import and export procedures

• Preparing quotations and rate requests

• Shipment tracking and coordination

• Sales and business development support

• Account and client management

• Assisting the sales team with existing and prospective customers

Requirements:

We are looking for someone who is:

• Enthusiastic, reliable and eager to learn

• Friendly and confident when communicating with people

• Well organised and able to follow instructions

• Comfortable using computers and learning new systems

• Has good attention to detail

• Has a professional and positive attitude

• Able to work both independently and as part of a team

• Interested in developing a long-term career

• Willing to learn about the freight forwarding and logistics industry

Previous office, administration, customer service or logistics experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.
