Senior Chef

Coolalinga Tavern is currently seeking a full time Chef for our busy restaurant located in Darwin, NT. We're looking for a hard working, enthusiastic Chef who enjoys what they do, have a great work ethic and passion.

Experience working in a similar role for a minimum of 2 years as a Chef working in a fast/paced high volume venue
The ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions with Leadership and management skills
Attention to detail & focus is essential with a genuine passion for the Hospitality Industry
A love for food and efficiency of the kitchen and production of consistent, quality food
Ability to work well as a team member and leader
Planning of menus, food and labour costing, and ordering food supplies
Monitoring quality of dishes, food preparation and cooking food
Enforce hygiene regulations, train cooks, kitchen hands and other kitchen staff
Oversee and manage kitchen operations
Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations
Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $75,000.00 - $82,000 per year (depending on experience)

Work Eligibility: Permitted to work temporarily with no restriction on hours (Required)

Commercial Cookery Qualification: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (Preferred)
