Aspect Engineering are seeking an experienced Process Metallurgist to join a our growing gold operation and play a key role in optimising plant performance, maximising gold recovery, and supporting the successful ramp-up and ongoing operation of a modern gold processing facility while working closely with operations, maintenance, and technical services teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimise plant performance to maximise gold recovery and throughput.

• Conduct metallurgical accounting, reconciliation, and performance reporting.

• Analyse plant data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Optimise grinding, gravity recovery, and CIL/CIP processing circuits.

• Investigate and troubleshoot metallurgical and processing issues.

• Manage metallurgical test work programs and implement findings.

• Review reagent consumption and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Support operational budgeting and forecasting activities.

• Develop and maintain process control strategies and operating procedures.

• Provide technical guidance to plant personnel.

• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Skills & Experience (Essential):

• Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience as a Process Metallurgist within a gold processing operation.

• Strong understanding of crushing, grinding, gravity recovery, and CIL/CIP circuits.

• Proven ability to optimise plant performance and improve recovery outcomes.

• Experience with metallurgical accounting and production reporting.
