About the role
We are hiring an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Sydney or Melbourne, Australia. The role will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations, including employee lifecycle management, HR administration, compliance, and HR process improvement, while working closely with management, Finance, Talent and external service providers.
Key ResponsibilitiesHR Operations & AdministrationManage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and offboarding. Prepare and maintain employment contracts, amendments, confirmation letters, and other HR documentation. Ensure employee records are accurate, up to date, and maintained in line with company policies and applicable regulations. Manage and maintain the HRIS and employee databases.
Workforce AdministrationAct as the primary HR contact for employees and managers on day-to-day HR administration matters. Coordinate probation reviews, contract renewals, and employee status changes. Monitor headcount movements and maintain accurate organizational records.
Payroll & Benefits CoordinationCoordinate payroll processing with Finance teams and external payroll providers. Validate payroll information, including new hires, terminations, leave balances, salary adjustments, and allowances. Support employee benefits administration and ensure payroll activities comply with applicable employment regulations.
Immigration & Employment ComplianceCoordinate visa applications, work permits, and employment sponsorship requirements where applicable. Ensure employment documentation complies with relevant labour laws and company policies. Maintain compliance records and support internal and external audits.
Leave & Attendance ManagementManage leave administration, attendance tracking, and employee records. Monitor leave balances and ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. Support managers with leave-related matters.
Office & Employee AdministrationSupport local office and employee administration requirements. Coordinate onboarding logistics, equipment allocation, system access, and induction processes. Liaise with Facilities, IT, and Finance to ensure a smooth employee onboarding and offboarding experience.
HR Policies & Process ImprovementDevelop, implement, and continuously improve HR processes and procedures. Ensure consistency in HR administration practices and identify opportunities for automation and process efficiencies.
Reporting & HR Data ManagementPrepare regular HR reports covering headcount, turnover, onboarding, offboarding, leave utilisation, and workforce statistics. Support management reporting and workforce planning through accurate HR data while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.
Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.Minimum 5 years of experience in HR Operations, HR Administration, or HR Generalist roles. Strong understanding of employment administration and HR operational processes, with experience in payroll coordination and employee lifecycle management.Strong attention to detail, organisational and administrative skills, with excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.A high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively are essential.
