Remuneration: Annual salary commencing at $83,102, plus additional 6.5% Market Loading applied until 1 May 2028, plus 15% Superannuation, increasing to 16% after 1 July 2027.

We’re looking for an experienced Specialist Electrician Water to join our Water Branch and play a vital role in maintaining the electrical, control and instrumentation systems that keep our community’s water, wastewater and recycled water services operating safely and reliably.
This is a hands-on role for an electrician who enjoys solving problems, working with industrial electrical systems and making a tangible difference to essential community services.
Gympie Regional Council is seeking 2 x Specialist Electricians for their Water Bransh. As a Specialist Electrician Water, you’ll undertake electrical installation, inspection, testing, fault finding and planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse range of Council water and wastewater assets.
You’ll work across treatment plants, pump stations, reservoirs, network facilities and other Water Branch sites, helping to ensure critical infrastructure remains safe, compliant, reliable and operational.

This is more than an electrical maintenance role. As part of Gympie Regional Council's Water team, you'll play a vital role in delivering safe, reliable and compliant water and wastewater services that support our communities every day.
You'll work across a diverse range of industrial electrical, control and automation systems while contributing to the operation and improvement of critical water and wastewater infrastructure. This is an exciting time to join the team as we continue to implement a progressive preventative maintenance program focused on improving asset reliability, reducing reactive maintenance, and driving best-practice asset management outcomes.
Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll have opportunities to expand your technical skills, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and help shape the future maintenance approach for our water and wastewater assets.
