About the Role

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Leading Hand position is responsible for leading the finishing and repair team in the timely and cost-effective repair, maintenance, and modification of United Rentals containers in order to deliver ‘First Choice’ containerised product solutions to our valuable customers.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Complete repairs, buffing and modification of containers to company quality standards

• Supervise the forklift operator and provide backup support when required

• Plan ahead regarding repairs and utilise stock reports to ensure containers are repaired within the 30-day metric

• Assist with closing of Work Orders and photo capturing when containers are made available 

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment 

 About You

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Leading Hand or supervisory role

• Safety-first attitude

• Trade Qualified in Fabrication and/or Welding

• Proven fabrication and welding experience

• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities

• Solid understanding of QA procedures

• LF Forklift Licence (desirable)

• Construction White Card (desirable)
