About the Role
We’re looking for a detail‑focused and proactive Stock Controller to take ownership of stock accuracy, movement, and control across our event and hire equipment, at a National Level.
This is a high‑impact role at the core of our operations. You’ll work closely with Warehouse, Despatch, Operations, Project Managers, and Sales to ensure equipment is available, tracked, maintained, and event‑ready at all times.
This role suits someone who values structure, accountability, and systems, but is also comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, operational environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Stock Control & OperationsOwn stock accuracy across our various business units including Events, Modular and 3PLManage inbound and outbound stock movements for events and projectsCoordinate stock allocation for upcoming jobs and peak periodsConduct cycle counts, audits, and discrepancy investigationsWork closely with Warehouse teams to ensure accurate picking and returnsTrack damaged, missing, or unserviceable equipment and coordinate repair or write‑offsMaintain clear system records and documentation
Procurement & Supplier CoordinationSupport procurement activities for new, replacement, and custom stock itemsWork with approved suppliers in Australia and overseas to source equipment, parts, and servicesAssist with purchase orders, supplier follow‑ups, and delivery trackingCoordinate repairs, refurbishments, and external services (e.g. fabrication, powder coating, specialist repairs)Provide stock availability and procurement input to support operational planning
Systems, Safety & AccountabilityMaintain accurate stock records within internal systemsSupport continuous improvement of stock control and procurement workflowsAssist with forecasting and planning ahead of busy periodsSupport safe handling, storage, and asset accountabilityTake ownership of accuracy, transparency, and loss prevention
What We’re Looking For
EssentialExperience in stock control, inventory, warehouse operations, or logisticsHigh attention to detail with strong organisational skillsConfidence using stock systems and operational dataAbility to work across multiple teams and priorities
Highly RegardedForklift licenceExperience in events, exhibitions, or hire‑based businessesExperience working with large or fast‑moving inventories
