Hornsby Ku-ring-gai & Central Coast Community Transport is seeking reliable, caring and professional Drivers to join our team. We're seeking Community Transport Drivers to join our team across both depots. Immediate opportunities are available, with additional positions offered as vacancies arise.
In this rewarding role, you will provide safe, friendly and dependable transport for older people, carers, people living with disability, and others experiencing transport disadvantage, helping them stay connected to appointments, shopping, social activities and their community.

Key responsibilities
As a Community Transport Driver, you will play an important role in helping people stay connected, independent and engaged with their community. Key responsibilities include:
Safely transport clients to medical appointments, shopping centres, social outings, community programs and other essential destinations.
Deliver a friendly, respectful and professional service that promotes dignity, independence and positive client experiences.
Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking from vehicles while maintaining appropriate safety and professional boundaries.
Work closely with the Operations and Client Services teams to ensure journeys are delivered efficiently and on schedule.
Conduct vehicle safety checks and maintain vehicles in a clean, safe and presentable condition.
Act as a positive ambassador for the organisation, representing our values through professional and compassionate service to clients and the wider community.
Support a culture of safety, respect and inclusion by adhering to the Aged Care Code of Conduct and reporting any incidents or concerns promptly.
About you
Friendly, patient and compassionate
Reliable and punctual
Customer focused with excellent communication skills
Current NSW LR (Light Rigid) Driver Licence
Transport for NSW Bus Driver Authority (or willing to obtain within 6 months of starting the position)
Current First Aid Certificate including CPR
Satisfactory Driving Record free from disqualifying offences
Point to Point Transport Registration (or willingness to obtain)
National Criminal History Check clearance
Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance
NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance (or ability to obtain prior to commencement)
Demonstrated ability to operate professionally with limited supervision
Demonstrable understanding of issues relevant to consumer base, eg people aged over 65 years, carers and those that are health and/or transport disadvantaged
