Floor Staff/Waitress

About the role

Augellos Balwyn is seeking enthusiastic and professional Floor Staff/Waitress to join our team on a part-time/ full-time basis. Based in Balwyn VIC 3103, this is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic hospitality environment where you'll deliver outstanding customer service and contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. This role is fundamental to maintaining the high standards and welcoming atmosphere that define our establishment.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and seating them in accordance with restaurant capacity and guest preferences

• Presenting menus and providing knowledgeable recommendations about food and beverage offerings

• Taking accurate food and drink orders and communicating them clearly to the kitchen and bar staff

• Serving food and beverages promptly, professionally and with attention to detail

• Clearing tables efficiently and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area

• Processing payments and handling cash or card transactions with accuracy

• Responding to guest requests and resolving any concerns with courtesy and professionalism

• Maintaining knowledge of allergen information and dietary requirements to ensure guest safety

• Supporting other team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods

• Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as waiting staff or in a similar customer-facing hospitality role for atleast 6 months is a must

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests

• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities to manage multiple tables effectively

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining composure

• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and carry trays safely

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

• A professional appearance and genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service

• Food handling certification or willingness to obtain it

• Team player mentality with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
