Forklift driver / 6:00 am start

About the role

Vision Freight Systems is looking for a reliable Forklift Driver / Freight Handler to join the morning team at the Rocklea Depot. This is a full-time, permanent position with a 6:00 AM start, Monday to Friday. The role involves unloading incoming linehaul vehicles, sorting and preparing freight for local delivery runs and assisting with the general morning operations of the busy freight depot.

Key responsibilities

• Unloading incoming linehaul trucks and trailers

• Loading local pick-up and delivery vehicles

• Sorting and staging freight into delivery runs

• Checking freight against manifests and paperwork

• Safe operation of forklifts

• Handling general freight of different shapes and sizes

• Working closely with drivers, warehouse staff and operations

About you

• Current Forklift Licence (LF)

• Forklift driving experience

• Experience loading and unloading trucks and trailers would be an advantage

• General freight experience would be highly regarded

• Good attention to detail

• Reliable and punctual – you must be able to consistently start at 6:00 AM

• Able to work safely in a busy freight environment

• Ability to work as part of a team

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including Drug & Alcohol Screening
