Area Manager

We are seeking an Area Manager to join our growing team and oversee the operational delivery of cleaning services across a portfolio of client contracts throughout Melbourne and state-wide.

As an Area Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring service delivery standards are met, managing frontline cleaning staff, and supporting client satisfaction. You’ll work closely with Client Services Managers (CSMs) to align operational performance with client expectations and drive improvements across contracts.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building strong client and staff relationships, is commercially savvy, and can balance operational detail with big-picture outcomes.

• Manage daily service delivery across multiple client sites.

• Recruit, roster, and supervise cleaners and supervisors.

• Conduct site inspections and audits to maintain compliance and quality standards.

• Monitor budgets for labour, consumables, and equipment.

• Partner with CSMs to provide operational insights, resolve client issues, and identify service improvement opportunities.

• Act as the main operational contact for client representatives.

• Promote a safe, supportive, and accountable workplace culture.

• Experience managing cleaning operations across multiple sites.

• Strong people management and rostering skills.

• Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

• Sound knowledge of compliance, safety, and industry standards.

• Budget management capability.

• Resilient, organised, and proactive, with a commercial mindset.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Year 12 preferred; TAFE or tertiary qualifications desirable.

• First Aid (Class 2) preferred.

• Supervisory experience in the cleaning industry.

• Computer literacy and incident reporting knowledge.
