The Group Experience Director (SEO/GEO) is a senior leadership role within Mindshare's SEO practice, responsible for overseeing client delivery and specialist team performance across Melbourne and Sydney. Reporting to the Head of SEO, this position is central to positioning Mindshare as the centre of excellence for SEO services across GroupM Australia. The role connects commercial accountability, product development, and people leadership to drive both client satisfaction and sustainable team growth. Success in this role looks like a high-performing, well-structured team consistently delivering measurable results for clients, with revenue targets met and strong client advocacy reflected in Vantage scores.

• Leads a mid-senior team of Directors and Associate Directors across Melbourne and Sydney, with full accountability for performance management, career development, and day-to-day team operations
• Manages and grows strategic client relationships across GroupM agencies including Mindshare, EssenceMediacom, Wavemaker, and Neo Media, acting as a senior point of escalation and strategic counsel
• Oversees commercial performance across the portfolio, including revenue tracking, forecasting, reconciliation, and timely scope renewals to protect profitability
• Shapes and evolves SEO product solutions in close collaboration with the Head of SEO, driving service maturity and commercial growth across client accounts
• Connects across GroupM agency client partnership teams, performance leads, and third-party platform partners to ensure alignment and maximise channel utilisation
• Champions delivery standards and continuous improvement across the team, establishing clear processes, documentation, and training frameworks that lift output quality

What You'll Bring

• Proven track record leading and developing specialist teams in a media, digital, or SEO environment, with demonstrated ability to build capability, clarity, and a high-performing team culture
• Strong commercial acumen, including hands-on experience managing client scopes, revenue forecasting, and profitability across multiple concurrent accounts
• Deep understanding of SEO channels and services, with the ability to drive product maturity and connect SEO strategy to broader media planning and campaign frameworks
• Demonstrated experience cultivating senior client relationships, developing strategic account plans, and proactively managing performance against client KPIs
• Ability to design and improve operational delivery standards across a team, including building scalable processes, documentation, and quality benchmarks
• Confident stakeholder management skills, with experience navigating complex, multi-agency or multi-brand environments
• A track record of identifying and converting commercial growth opportunities within existing client portfolios to drive scope expansion and revenue growth

• Familiarity with GroupM agency structures, tools, or ways of working across Mindshare, EssenceMediacom, or Wavemaker
• Experience contributing to new business pitches or SEO capability development and go-to-market presentations
• Knowledge of third-party SEO platforms and a demonstrated ability to drive adoption and effective utilisation across a specialist team
