Project Manager

Our client is a well-established, family-owned Queensland business specialising in the design, manufacture and construction of premium custom structural steel buildings. From agricultural and industrial facilities to commercial and bespoke projects, they have built a reputation for delivering exceptional quality and outstanding customer service. 

They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to become a key part of their growing operations team.

This is a pivotal operational role where you'll take ownership of projects from post-sale through to completion. Working closely with clients, suppliers, engineering, estimating, workshop and management, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the high standards the business is known for. 

The Role
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Managing multiple projects from post-sale through to completion.
• Coordinating project schedules, procurement and supplier deliveries.
• Building strong relationships with clients and providing proactive communication throughout each project.
• Liaising with engineering, estimating, workshop and sales to keep projects moving.
• Managing project budgets, documentation and timelines.
• Identifying risks early and implementing practical solutions before they become problems.
• Driving accountability and follow-through across suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Contributing to the continual improvement of project systems and processes.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:

• At least several years' experience in Project Management, Project Coordination, Contracts Administration or a similar construction-related role.
• Experience successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, procurement and project outcomes.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and maintain control across multiple moving projects.
• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and colleagues.
• The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documentation.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with sound judgement and confidence making decisions.
• High attention to detail and a genuine commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
• A high level of personal ownership, accountability and follow-through.

Experience in structural steel, sheds, commercial or industrial construction will be highly regarded but is not essential.
