Food & Beverage Attendant

With a rich history dating back to 1814, the heritage building on the corner of Argyle and Macquarie has been a cornerstone of the Hobart community for generations. Its role has continually adapted to meet the needs and expectations of the local community, including its evolution from the city's first post office into a beloved pub in 1851. Throughout this rich history, it has remained an integral part of the community's fabric, the place to meet.

Our ethos centres around a thoughtfully curated food and beverage offering that caters to both traditional and diverse tastes at affordable prices. Our menu and bar features local produce sourced through ongoing collaborations with supply partners, allowing us to offer the best in contemporary modern Australian pub fare.

We are looking for passionate locals with F&B experience to join our team. If you have a passion for great food, wine and people whilst delivering an amazing customer experience, this could be a great place for your next career move.

This is a part-time position with a minimum of 15 hours per week. 

What you'll get to do

·         Create a positive guest experience and deliver a high level of service

·         Creating “WOW” moments in service and leadership

·         A genuine interest in local produce and local events

·         Ensure efficient restaurant operation

·         Support the management of bookings and balance seat capacity

What you need

·         Experience in the restaurant / bar industry -Bar attendant, Waiter, Waitress ect

·         RSA and ideally food handling certificate

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Outstanding service focus and the ability to share that with your team members

·         Strong food and wine knowledge particularly of local Tasmanian produce
