Workshop Foreman

Titan Ford Brookvale is looking for an experienced Workshop Foreman / Quality Controller to join our busy Service Department.

This is a key hands-on leadership role within our workshop. We are looking for someone with a strong mechanical and diagnostic background who can support our technicians, maintain high standards of workmanship and help keep work moving efficiently through the workshop.

Working closely with the Service Manager and Service Advisors, you will take ownership of the day-to-day flow of work through the workshop, provide technical support to the team and ensure vehicles are repaired correctly and efficiently the first time.

• Coordinate and oversee the daily flow of work through the workshop

• Allocate and prioritise jobs to maximise technician productivity and workshop output

• Provide technical and diagnostic support to technicians

• Assist with complex repairs, diagnosis and fault finding

• Carry out quality control inspections and road tests where required

• Ensure repairs are completed to a high standard and right the first time

• Monitor jobs throughout the day and identify delays or issues before they become problems

• Work closely with Service Advisors to maintain clear communication on job progress

• Support, coach and develop technicians and apprentices

• Maintain high standards of workshop presentation, safety and manufacturer compliance

• Assist the Service Manager with the overall performance and efficiency of the workshop

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Workshop Foreman, Workshop Controller, Senior Technician or similar automotive leadership role

• A recognised automotive trade qualification

• Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills

• Excellent organisational and time-management skills

• The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy dealership environment

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• A practical, hands-on approach to solving problems

• High standards of workmanship and attention to detail

• A positive, proactive and can-do attitude

• A current Australian driver's licence

Previous Ford dealership experience and Ford technical training would be highly regarded, however experienced candidates from other manufacturers are encouraged to apply.
