Civil Foreman

About the role

This is a full-time role as a Civil Foreman within the Construction team at Accolade Projects that has expanded into Adelaide with a secured project in Bowden.

As the Civil Foreman, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of construction workers to successfully complete civil engineering projects to a high standard. You will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of these construction projects.

Candidates must have Australian citizenship or permanent residency to be eligible for this position.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising and coordinating the work of a team of construction workers, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols

• Interpreting and implementing construction plans and specifications to ensure that projects are completed to the required quality and within deadlines

• Identifying and resolving any issues or challenges that arise during construction, taking corrective action as needed

• Liaising with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide progress updates and coordinate project activities

• Ensuring that the construction site is well-organised and maintained, with appropriate equipment and resources in place

• Promoting a positive and collaborative work environment, providing mentorship and support to the team

• Monitoring and reporting on project performance, including tracking labour, equipment, and material usage

What we're looking for

• Civil Foreman, earthworks & basement construction experience.

• A minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a Civil Foreman or Supervisor is required for this role.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team

• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and drawings

• Thorough understanding of workplace health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment

• A valid White Card must be held at the time of application

• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate IV in Civil Construction or equivalent
