About the role
Join our team as a full-time Irrigation Hand at our almond orchard located near Lake Powell, VIC. This crucial role focuses on maintaining and managing irrigation systems, supporting the health of our crops and the overall operation of the orchard. You will play a key part in ensuring effective water usage, maintaining irrigation equipment, and contributing to the success of our horticultural activities.

What you’ll be doing

• Operate and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring efficient water delivery across the orchard

• Carry out basic nursery duties, including monitoring moisture levels

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of irrigation equipment such as pumps, filters, and valves

• Coordinate with the farm management team to support crop needs through effective irrigation practices

• Perform tree maintenance, weed control, and assist with fertigation and fertilisation tasks

• Operate farm machinery, including tractors, telehandlers, sprayers, and other equipment

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience with irrigation systems, preferably in an agricultural setting

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

• A willingness to learn and adapt

• Good time management and task delivery

• A current driver’s licence
