A-Grade Electrician - Solar PV & Battery Specialist

About the role

Variety Solar Pty Ltd is seeking an A-Grade Electrician - Solar PV & Battery Specialist to join our growing team in Melbourne VIC 3000. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of renewable energy technology. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic systems and battery storage solutions for both residential and commercial clients. This role is strategically important to our business as it directly impacts customer satisfaction, system reliability, and our reputation as a leading solar and battery installation company.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain solar PV systems and battery storage solutions in accordance with Australian Standards and safety regulations

• Perform electrical testing and diagnosis on solar and battery systems to identify and resolve faults and inefficiencies

• Conduct site assessments and provide technical recommendations for optimal system design and placement

• Liaise with customers to explain system operation, maintenance requirements, and safety procedures

• Document all work completed, including test results, certifications, and system specifications

• Adhere to all health and safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment on job sites

• Collaborate with the installation team and management to meet project deadlines and quality standards

• Stay current with industry developments and emerging technologies in solar and battery systems

What we're looking for

• Current A-Grade Electrical License issued by Energy Safe Victoria

• Proven experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar PV systems

• Demonstrated experience with battery storage systems and energy management technologies

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuit design, and safety standards relevant to renewable energy

• Knowledge of Australian Standards (AS/NZS 5033, AS/NZS 3000) and relevant solar installation guidelines

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams and clients

• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
