Sonographer - Advanced (Maternal Foetal Medicine)

Your new role:

As a Sonographer – Advanced, you'll provide specialised sonography services within the growing Metro South Maternal Fetal Medicine Service. You'll use advanced expertise in obstetric ultrasound to support patients with high-risk pregnancies and complex fetal concerns, while providing clinical leadership, mentoring and service development.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced, independent obstetric ultrasound services for complex patients.
• Provide expert clinical advice, leadership and mentoring to sonographers and clinicians.
• Lead the development of clinical practices, protocols, education and competency programs.
• Drive quality improvement, research and evidence-based innovation across the service.

About you:

You are an experienced sonographer with advanced expertise in obstetric ultrasound and a strong commitment to clinical excellence. You bring confidence in complex clinical decision-making, leadership and developing the capability of others.

Skills & Experience

• Advanced clinical expertise in obstetric ultrasound and Maternal Fetal Medicine.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Experience developing clinical protocols, education programs and service improvements.
• Ability to lead evidence-based practice, research and innovative models of care.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
