Senior Program Manager – Insurance Product & Technology
10-Month Contract | Sydney | 

Advance Thinking is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead a significant insurance product and technology initiative within a leading General Insurance organisation.

This is a senior, highly visible leadership role responsible for overseeing the technology delivery of a new insurance product, working across business, product, technology, external partners and executive leadership.

We are looking for a seasoned delivery leader who can provide strategic oversight while remaining hands-on and delivery focused when required.
The Opportunity

You will take ownership of a complex, multi-stream program and lead Project Managers and broader delivery teams to take a new insurance product from business and product requirements through technology build and implementation.

This role requires someone who can comfortably operate across General Insurance, technology delivery and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of a major insurance product technology program
• Manage multiple projects and interconnected workstreams
• Lead and support Project Managers and multidisciplinary delivery teams
• Translate product and business requirements into technology delivery outcomes
• Manage complex dependencies across business, technology and external partners
• Establish strong program governance and delivery disciplines
• Manage program financials, risks, issues and delivery performance
• Lead senior and executive stakeholder engagement
• Work across business GM, technology GM and executive leadership levels
• Navigate complex and challenging stakeholder environments
• Provide hands-on delivery leadership when required
• Drive teams towards clear business and technology outcomes

What We're Looking For

• Significant Senior Program Management experience
• Strong General Insurance experience
• Demonstrated experience delivering insurance products
• Strong technology transformation background
• Experience leading complex, multi-stream programs
• Experience managing Project Managers and large delivery teams
• Exceptional executive stakeholder management
• Strong commercial, financial and governance capability
• Insurance platform transformation experience
• Guidewire experience highly regarded
• A proactive, hands-on delivery mindset

This is not a governance-only Program Manager role. The successful candidate will be comfortable overseeing a significant program while rolling up their sleeves and getting directly involved when delivery requires it.

Location: Sydney – strongly preferred
Duration: 10 months
Rate: Competitive market rates
