Trade Assistant/Apprentice/Mechanic

We are seeking an Under Body Mechanic or 3rd year Apprentice that has had experience in the brake, steering and suspension field to join our team in Brisbane at Pedder's Suspension and Brakes Browns Plains.

Note: For Visa and onboarding reasons, we can only consider applicants currently living in Australia.

Schedule:

• 38 hour week.

• Monday to Friday.

• Overtime available.

• No weekend work at present.

Experience:

• Apprentice or Mechanic: (3rd year minimum required).

• We will arrange apprenticeship enrolment for successful apprentice applicants.

• Candidates without current apprenticeship enrolment are eligible as the company will arrange enrolment for successful apprentice applicants.

Licence/Certification:

• A current car licence (C class) Manual Driver licence is required.

Duties include:

• Fault Diagnosis using Scan tools.

• GVM upgrades and 4X4 lift kits.

• Wheel alignment with on the job training.

• General repairs to Steering, Suspension and Brakes.

• Classic Vehicle repair and restoration.

• Work shop cleaning & maintenance

The right candidate will have:

• A willingness to learn.

• Experience as a Mechanic and Brake / Suspension Technician.

• Specific experience in basic wheel alignment an advantage (not essential).

• Attention to Detail a must.

• Ability to work well in a small team.

• Cleanliness and good presentation.

• Good sense of humour and enjoys working in a supportive team environment.
