Membership Consultant

As a Membership Sales Consultant, you’ll help women take that first step towards their goals by understanding their needs, creating accountability and inspiring them to commit to themselves.

Key responsibilities

• Listen, motivate and inspire women in your community to start a health and fitness program at Fernwood

• Ensure all leads are attended to as per the flow chart in the sales manual with a minimum standard of 4 contacts in the first 2 days

• Use the Fernwood scripts to ensure your language is on brand and effective when communicating with prospects

• Ensure all Sales Processes are followed from Enquiry to Tour to Sale as per the Fernwood Sales Manual

• Ensure all prospects have a needs analysis using the Getting to Know You Form to encourage them to feel seen and heard

• Pro-actively ensure excellent product knowledge at all times

• Actively follow up on all opportunities arising from enquiries, referrals and 'tours not joined', calling them the next day for a decision

• Maintain punctuality and ensure grooming and presentation guidelines are followed and maintained to high personal standard

• Assist the Club Manager in providing Sales training, assistance and coaching to non-sales staff

• Use the upgrade procedure in the manual and other initiatives to encourage existing members to upgrade memberships or purchase additional products and/or services

About you

• Computer literacy – including intermediate Word, Excel, and Outlook skills

• Minimum Higher School Certificate

• Proven experience in face to face sales (minimum 1 year)

• Negotiation and influencing skills

• A positive, can do attitude

• Punctual, diplomatic and sincere with strong team focus

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• Ability to work and communicate with a wide range of people

• Ability to organise, prioritise and manage different tasks at the same time

• Available to work varying shifts including mornings, evenings and weekends
