Lead one of the region’s most dynamic and specialised cardiac services as a Nurse Unit Manager, providing expert leadership across the Coronary Care Unit, Cardiac Ward, Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, and Community and Outpatient Cardiology Services. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the delivery of exceptional patient care across the full spectrum of cardiac services while driving innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.

About us: 

Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) provides a level 5 Cardiology Service as classified by the Clinical Services Capabilities Framework. The service delivers interventional and non-interventional inpatient and outpatient services for patients located in both the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service and Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service.

About your role:

In this position you will…..

• Provide effective and efficient management of service in collaboration with the Nursing Director/Director of Nursing, clinical and non-clinical staff to facilitate the provision of quality evidence-based care.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory and participates directly or indirectly in the delivery of clinical care to individual/groups.
• Lead and coordinate quality improvement and evidence-based practice activities to ensure the provision of quality, cost-effective services.
