About the OpportunityWe’re seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Assurance Advisor to join our dynamic Supply Chain Capability and Quality Governance/Assurance Team to be based in Osborne, South Australia. This role plays a key part in ensuring supplier compliance with quality standards and supporting the delivery of complex programs within the defence sector. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive quality outcomes and contribute to national capability development. ResponsibilitiesLead supplier quality assurance activities across strategic suppliers, including planning, governance, qualification, capability assessments, and compliance with quality requirements.Manage supplier quality performance and risk, including audit programs, corrective and preventive actions, quality issue escalation, and mitigation strategies to support program delivery.Provide quality assurance guidance to program, engineering, supply chain, and supplier stakeholders on quality standards, compliance, and best practice.Drive supplier capability and continuous improvement through coaching, mentoring, process validation, first article inspections, counterfeit prevention activities, and performance improvement initiatives.Represent Quality Assurance across governance forums and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent supplier qualification, risk management, and quality outcomes across programs.
About YouRelevant trade, technical, engineering or quality qualification, with ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification and/or Diploma in Quality Auditing highly regarded.Proven experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or other complex/heavy industry environments, with knowledge of quality assurance principles, standards, and auditing practices.Ability to interpret technical and engineering requirements, identify quality risks, assess compliance, and implement effective corrective actions.Strong stakeholder engagement, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering quality outcomes.
EligibilityThis role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
