Leading Hand (Yard Operations Kwinana)

About the role

To provide hands-on leadership and coordination of yard operations at the Kwinana Depot. The role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day yard activities, supporting drivers and yard staff, and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant load-out and receival operations. This position is operational in nature and requires active involvement in yard tasks from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily yard operations

• Actively assist with loading, unloading, and product movement

• Ensure correct product, quantities, and configurations are loaded

• Identify and communicate operational issues to operations in a timely manner

• Provide direction and on-the-job guidance to yard staff

• Encourage teamwork and accountability within the yard

• Actively support staff during peak workloads

• Promote and enforce safe work practices at all times

• Identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across all yard areas
